instructor qualifications
our instructors will be qualified as follows:
abseiling (single activity), traditional climbing (single activity), traditional climbing and abseiling (combined)
- Guide Association climbing and/or abseiling authorisation or above for Brownie and Guide bookings
- Scout Association climbing and/or abseiling authorisation or above for all other bookings
- if your organisation requires an SPA or higher level qualification this can be arranged - please contact us (additional charges may apply)
air rifle shooting
- National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) Diploma (National Youth Proficiency Scheme) or above
archery
- Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) Community Sports Leader Award or above
auto-belay simulated rock climbing
- Butchers Coppice (site-specific) auto-belay simulated rock climbing authorisation - no other qualification is recognised for this activity
two-person auto-belay crate stacking
- Butchers Coppice (site-specific) auto-belay crate stacking authorisation - no other qualification is recognised for this activity
high ropes (all elements)
- a Butchers Coppice (site-specific) high ropes authorisation or above
your instructors must be qualified as follows:

additionally, your instructors must have:
- a Scout Association Module 10 First Aid qualification or above for all Scout Association bookings
- a full first aid qualification for all other bookings
- evidence of £5m Public Liability Insurance
