low and medium team challenges

These activities are designed to strengthen teamwork, co-operation and communication skills - see below for a description of each team challenge element...

Low and medium team challenge sessions can accommodate a maximum of twelve participants per hour. You can arrange additional hours if necessary. See the price guide for session costs. These activities are only available during daylight hours. Participants must be at least eight years of age to take part in these activities.

Low team challenges can be either instructor-led or self-supervised. Medium team challenges require an approved instructor.

You are welcome to e-mail details of your activity booking requirements and we will make all the arrangements for you. See the price guide for session costs. This activity requires adult supervision.

Visitors should carry out their own risk assessment taking into account the age, experience and needs of their own group. Copies of our risk assessments for our activities and accessible areas of the site are available on request.

 

low team challenges

low see-saw

the entire group must balance on the giant see-saw - the team will switch sides or move around in a circle and dismount, all the way through trying to keep the see-saw perfectly balanced!

acid river

the group work together to cross an area using boards which are 8'-10' in length - the boards are placed on protruding stumps in the ground - the team need to get across the acid river without falling in, but there's only one route to success!

log jam

the group start off balanced on a 20ft horizontal log - the challenge begins when the whole group try to switch ends with each other whilst keeping everyone perfectly balanced on the log!

spiders web

each participant needs to go through one of the gaps in the giant spiders web - each hole is unique and can only be used once by one team member - the groups needs to think things through very carefully before taking any action!

low all-aboard

the group starts on a raised platform and must transfer the whole team to a life raft using a rope swing - the exercise is repeated with ever decreasing sized platforms!

wild woozy

can you trust your partner? as the pair work outwards across the V the gap between them increases... balancing perfectly against one another to stay up, how far can the pair make it before they loose it!

 

medium team challenges

the wall

the wall is just that - a smooth 3.3m high wall which the team need to work together to get over - the team need to plan ahead, particularly thinking about how to get the last person up and over! we also have a smaller 2m wall for younger participants

giants finger

the group work together to place or remove the giant ring from the 8ft high finger - proper planning, safety and spotting are needed to ensure success!
